plop - paludis log parser

it is just because i got used to genlop when using portage. now that i have migrated to paludis, I missed this fancy little tool and haven't found anything by now. so I patched it to work with paludis.
plop-0.1 is patched against genlop-0.30.8
plop-0.2 is also a genlop-0.30.8. a bug with -scm packages has been fixed. (thx to Mikko for reporting)

just use it as you do with genlop

installation:

assuming that your portage-overlay folder is /usr/local/portage/ do the following as root:

cd /usr/local/portage
mkdir profiles
echo app-paludis >> profiles/categories
mkdir app-paludis
cd app-paludis
svn co https://svn.keksbude.net/repos/keks-overlay/app-paludis/plop/
paludis --regenerate-installable-cache
paludis -pi plop
			

browse our svn-repository, download here or do a subversion checkout as described above.

to convert your old emerge.log you could use logemerge2paludis. be aware that this is a quick hack, and it only converts the lines that are important for plop. i don't know if it is ok to merge it with your paludis.log, so if you want to be sure, do something like:

cat /var/log/emerge.log|logemerge2paludis > /var/log/pemerge.log
alias plop="/usr/bin/plop -f /var/log/pemerge.log -f /var/log/paludis.log"
